Now the How

Now that the ingredients are sorted, it’s time to make magick. How I go about my simmer pots is to set my pot on a burner and pour in my water. I wait to turn on the heat, letting the water settle, and then visualizing my intentions coming to fruition. Then one by one, I add in the botanics.

With each ingredient I say out loud, “With (insert name of botanic) comes (insert correspondence you’re using it for).” Once all of the ingredients have been added, I take a utensil to stir everything with. I stir clockwise to promote or bring in things and counterclockwise to banish or decrease things. I turn the heat on simmer and allow my potion to permeate my home all day long. I like to start these in the morning and let them go to promote my intentions for the longest time possible.

How Much Water and How Much Botanica to Use

An unwritten rule to follow here is enough water to fill your pot two-thirds full. As for the botanica, equal parts for everything.

One thing that makes Simmer Pot Spells so easy is the ability to eyeball everything. Pretty simple, huh? Choose your water, choose your botanics, add to the pot, infuse with your magick, stir, turn on the heat, and let it go.
