Welcome Witches, Witchlings, and Witchlets to the fourth installment of our Answer a Witchcraft Question from Google Series. I – a seasoned and practicing Witch – answer questions posed on Google about magick and witchcraft. Today’s question is:
“Can you gift a candle used for magick?”
Let’s get into it.
GIFTS IN MAGICK
Anything can be gifted to a practitioner. In fact, there are some who believe a diviner’s first Tarot deck MUST be gifted. On the other hand, some paths and traditions explicitly state that a practitioner must be the one to choose their tools.
So can you gift a candle used for magick? Yes, you can. And this applies to spell candles, meditation candles, tea lights for offerings, seven day tapers, and more.
WHAT ARE CANDLES USED FOR IN WITCHCRAFT?
Candles themselves have a whole category of magick to themselves. In fact, it’s one of the easiest forms of the craft to do. And when you layer candle magick with color magick that is timed intentionally, it becomes even stronger.
If you’re trying to come up with a gift to give the witch or mystic in your life, candles make for a useful present. Every practitioner can do with more candles! Check out our Handcrafted + Hallowed Spell Candles in the shop.
