Who is collecting your information?
Candle Cross Coven collects information about you. Our third-party partners - MailChimp, MailMunch, Pirate Ship, Printful, Uplinkly, Shopify Payments, Shopify Analytics and Google Analytics - collect information on our behalf.
What are the actions you take that lead to the collection of information?
When you manually enter your information, such as filling in your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, birthday, credit card information or other details when you fill out our contact form, sign up for our email list or make purchases.
What information is collected automatically?
Our third-party partners - MailChimp, MailMunch, Pirate Ship, Printful, Uplinkly, Shopify Payments, Shopify Analytics and Google Analytics - collect your location and which pages you visit. In general our third-party partners only relay this information to us in the aggregate (i.e. the information is not identifiable to you) but sometimes this information can be directly tied to you.
-MailChimp lets us know which emails you open and which links you click on
-Shopify Payments tells us your shipping address in order for us to ship your order to you
-Shopify forwards your email address to us as part of the contact form on our website in order for us to respond to you
When is your information shared?
We only share your information with trusted third-party sites in order to provide you with the products and services you request.
-When you make a purchase, your information is collected by Shopify Payments in order to process your order
-When you request to be added to our newsletter, MailMunch (an app on Shopify) collects your information and forwards it to MailChimp who receives and stores your information
-When you visit a page or take action (like clicking on a link) Shopify and Google track for analytics and for advertising purposes
How do we use your information?
We may use the information we collect from you when you fill out our contact form, make a purchase, sign up for our newsletter, browse our website or use certain website features in the following ways:
-To send you our newsletter and new blog content
-To send periodic emails about your order or other products
-To quickly process your transactions
-To create better content and products that you love
-To personalize your experience
How do we protect your information?
We do our best to protect your sensitive personal information. Our website is inspected and scanned on a regular basis for security vulnerabilities in order to make your visit with us as safe as possible. Your personal information is contained behind security networks with limited access and confidentiality requirements. All sensitive information and credit information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. All transactions are processed through Shopify Payments and are not stored or processed on the Candle Cross Coven servers.
How long will you store my data?
-MailChimp will store your data (name, email address and any other information you provide us with) until you request to be unsubscribed. Typical, your data will be kept for 6 months following your unsubscribe request. If you wish for your information to be deleted from the record, please send us a request through our contact form.
-Pirate Ship (our mailing label provider) stores your name, address and email address under a history of completed orders shipped out for 3 months
